Come learn about our upcoming SpellSlingers game at San Diego Comic-Con International on Friday at 8 pm in Room 23ABC! We will be speaking on a panel called, Using Technology to Create Immersive Worlds in Live Action Role-Play.
Learn more about the panel and tell us that you’re coming on the SDCC website and app! Share it on your social media and encourage more people to attend.
Both common and unique technologies are being used to plunge live-action role-players and immersive theater audiences into fictional worlds of any genre, from distant futures to medieval fantasies. This panel of experts will show off some of the latest gadgets, software, and hardware being used or developed to enrich immersive and LARP experiences. They’ll provide a demonstration of some devices and an explanation of how to set up your own! With Kristin Brumley (Epic Armoury content manager), Brent Heyning (veteran specialty props and special effects designer; founder of toyshoppesystems.com), Stevenson Streeper (founder and grand puzzlemaster, Puzzalarium.com), Matthew Webb (founder and lead developer, Incognita Limited), and Maya Ziv (director of technology, Event Horizon LARP). Moderated by Aaron Vanek (producer, WaveOneLarp.com).
Kristin Brumley (Marketing/Graphic Design) and Matthew Webb (our new App Programmer) will be speaking on this panel about technology and LARP, and we will be showing off our new wands by Epic Armoury! You may even receive a free LARP weapon. (wink, wink, nudge nudge!)
